Fair Debt Consultants was formed in 2000 to address critical needs of the credit and collection industry which the firm's founders by non-attorneys. Its initial focus was on training and then, as training clients began encountering licensing issues, the licensing and bonding of debt collectors. In response to the increasing scrutiny of the credit and collection industry by state and federal lawmakers, the press, and the courts, FDC now offers an expanded array of services. These services are offered to law firms, collection agencies, and debt buyers to assist them in operating more efficiently and effectively while embracing high professional standards and reducing legal exposure by optimizing compliance with the many state and federal laws to which they are subject.
